INSTRUMENTS WE TEACH
Trumpet and trombone,
taught one on one.
Trumpet and trombone each have their own range, technique, and embouchure. Tell us which one you want to play and we'll match you with the teacher who plays it.
Trumpet
The lead voice of concert band, jazz band, and marching band. A strong first brass instrument for students starting school band.
Not Sure Which?
Try both in your free first lesson. Your teacher will help you pick the instrument that fits.
Trombone
Slide technique, a warm low sound, and a key seat in concert band and jazz band. Taught by Sam Florence.
Switching to Brass
Coming from another instrument? Your reading and rhythm carry over. Your teacher focuses on embouchure and air so you catch up fast.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
Tone, technique,
and musicianship.
Brass playing starts with the air and the lips. Every lesson builds the fundamentals first: embouchure, breath support, posture, and a clear tone. From there, lessons move to articulation, range, scales, and real music, whether you are preparing for school band, a jazz audition, or playing for yourself.
INVESTMENT
Private brass lessons.
Month-to-month. No long-term contracts. Every new student starts with a free first lesson.

OUR BRASS TEAM
A teacher for each instrument.
Ava Montie teaches trumpet and Sam Florence teaches trombone. Both grew up in Tamraloo's music program and play in school and community ensembles.

Ava plays in the concert, jazz, and marching bands at Twelve Bridges High School and has played in the pit orchestra for school musicals. She studied voice, violin, and trumpet at Tamraloo and makes learning fun for younger students.

Sam grew up in the Tamraloo program as a trombone and piano student and an actor in many of its plays. He reads music well and teaches trombone with a focus on tone, technique, and playing with others.
