Tamraloo Tutoring Team Announces:

Assisted Virtual Learning (AVL) Program

WHAT IS AN ASSISTED VIRTUAL LEARNING (AVL) PROGRAM?
AVL is a small group (12 ) of students (a cohort) working on their own classwork under the supervision of multiple tutors.
WHAT & WHO IS AN AVL COHORT FOR?
AVL cohorts are designed to SUPPORT each student's primary learning experience by ensuring they have an engaging, socialized, safe learning environment.  The AVL cohort's goal is to enhance any school option by either fully preparing them to return to in-person school or to thrive in any virtual learning environment.
Currently we are enrolling cohorts for students K-8th grade.

HOW & WHEN DOES A COHORT MEET?
These cohorts meet twice a week for 3 hours in a safe, distanced, clean environment (Tamraloo Studios @ 578 E St. in downtown Lincoln) led by one credentialed teacher, one highly experienced tutor, and one experienced assistant tutor.
Currently planned cohorts:

M/W Cohorts: 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30

T/Th Cohorts: 8:30-11:30 or 12:30-3:30

F/S Cohorts:    8:30-11:30

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Each AVL Cohort is $300 per month.  There is no contract as TTT is striving to ensure each student can return to in-person instruction as soon as possible.
We do ask that if a student will not be returning they inform the TTT admins at least 1 week prior to the new month.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Each student is given an assessment prior to joining a cohort to ensure they are in the best group for their needs.  To submit a registration request and sign up for an assessment,  Choose "Request Free Trial Lesson" then choose the AVL assessment time that best fits your schedule!  If the existing assessments are full please contact the Tamraloo team at 916-664-2516 for assistance.
An AVL Daily Schedule:
  • 30 minutes:  Large Group gathering activity held outside (journaling, mindfulness, etc) with tutor. During this time, our head teachers will be reviewing each student’s notebook for upcoming assignments, notes from parents, homework that needs to get done, etc.

  • 45 minutes:  Math assignments and instruction
  • 15 minutes:  Large Group Break Outside
  • 45 minutes:  Individualized help with rotating teachers
During this time, our head teachers will be making notes in the student’s provided binder so that parents are made aware of anything that will assist them as they help their children at home.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT?
  1. Ddistance learning device
  2. headphones
  3. TTT will provide a binder to be used each day as their "command center" for distance learning assignments and parent/teacher communication.

  • Students will wash hands thoroughly before entering the studio
  • Cohorts will remain together and not mix with other cohorts
  • Full cohort activities will take place outside, weather permitting, or indoors in one of our large rooms
